Camera, which shows an eclectic mix of independent films, must receive a city-sponsored $1.25 million loan and approval from building owner Forest City Enterprises in order for the deal to proceed.
The theater has eight screens and 3,700 seats, and stands three stories tall. UA abandoned the theater in January. If the deal were approved, Camera would close its Camera One Theater on South First Street and its Camera Three at Second and San Carlos Streets, consolidating operations at the Pavilion.
