Peak 10 plans to be in 10 or more mid-size Southeastern cities by next June and have more than 100 employees, with about 50 in Charlotte.
President and CEO Nicholas Kottyan established Peak 10 last year with partner and COO David Jones. Together they have raised $6 million and expect to close a $25 million venture capital round of funding in November. They are working with SG Cowen Securities Corp., a New York-based investment bank.
The partners chose Charlotte because of personal contacts and the region's convenient air travel.
