Musicland Stores, thenational music and home entertainment productsretailer based in Minnetonka, MN, has taken a stake inthe retailer of just under 20% ownership for aninvestment of less than $10 million. Musicland chief executive Jack Eugster said hiscompany was looking to invest in "promising retailstrategies where our expertise in product managementand distribution could add value."
Golf Galaxy, aprivately held company, has 18 superstores averaging17,000 sf in such Midwest cities as Chicago,Cleveland, Cincinnati, Milwaukee and the Twin Cities.
