M&G's Finance and Capital Markets Group obtained the financing through Nationwide Insurance on behalf of the property's owners, National Development of New England. Executive Vice President Kevin C. Phelan and Senior Vice President Stephen M. Horan headed up the effort.

According to Phelan, impressive residential growth in the Franklin area during the past few years is creating the need for increased retail. Forge Park contains approximately two million sf of commercial space, 160 units of housing, a full-service YMCA and an MBTA commuter rail station connecting the park with Downtown Boston.
