He had led the Shawnee Area Chamber of Commerce and Economic DevelopmentCouncil for the past five years. Prior to working in Shawnee, he hadserved in a similar position for eight years for the Olathe, KSChamber of Commerce.
Vogt is credited with attracting a large scale of businesses to Shawnee,including a number of new tenants to the city's west side industrialparks, and broadening its tax base.
