Biotech Firm Signs Big Lease

SAN DIEGO--Biotechnology companies continue to flock to the county's central and north coastal office markets.

SAN DIEGO–Illumina Inc., a San Diego-based biotech and research firm, has signed a 10-year lease for two buildings in the University Town Centre area totaling 97,500 sf.

Illumina Inc., which uses genetic variation and function technology to improve drugs and cure diseases, has also secured the right to expand into an additional 81,000 sf.
