The multi-million auction will be held at 7 p.m. at the Marriott Hotel Southeast at Interstate 25 and Hampden Avenue. The lineup includes The Grand Victorian at Winter Park, an 8,083-sf bed and breakfast originally built as a single-family home and converted into a 10-bedroom B&B. The top bid takes it, regardless of the price, although the suggested opening bid is $495,000. "New construction is going for $200 to $300 per square foot in Winter Park, and our suggested opening price is at $60," says Jim MacDonnell, who heads Sheldon Good's Denver office.

Also on the list is the 4,961-sf Earthship Home in Crystal Park in Manitou Springs, a community four miles west of Colorado Springs at the base of Pike's Peak. The minimum bid is $175,000. The estate sits 9,100 feet above sea level and includes a 1,780-sf office and garage. The main home includes solar heating and a stocked koi pond. It's been appraised between $800,000 and $900,000.

The Prospector Restaurant in Leadville on the Western Slope is carrying a minimum bid of $175,000. The father-and-son owners are making good money, MacDonnell says, but are tired of working so hard in a restaurant. Celebrities such as Cher, Jimmy Buffet, Lucille Ball and John F. Kennedy Jr. have dined there since it opened in the 1960s.
