The acquisitions are Braker 2 Business Center, located at Kramer Lane and Metric Boulevard; Rutland 10 Business Center at Metric Boulevard and Centimeter Circle; and Southpark A, B, C, situated about two blocks from Interstate 35 at the intersection of East Elmo, Woodard Street and Freidrich Lane.
The single-story structures are located on a total of 10.9 acres. Each developed between 1979 and 1982; they boast an average occupancy rate of 95.7%.
To date this year, Weingarten has acquired 10 properties consisting of 877,000 sf. Total investment to date is $127.6 million, including a joint venture partner's share of certain purchases as well as new development that has been brought on line. The company now has 251 income-producing properties, with an aggregate exceeding 28 million sf in its 14-state portfolio.
