The project includes a five-story, 174,000-sf office building; a six-level, 143,000-sf parking garage; a 7,300-sf expansion of an existing building; a day care center for employees' children; and a one-acre lake. A general contractor for the $20-million project has not yet been selected. Construction of the new facilities is scheduled to begin in first quarter 2001. When completed, the 28-acre campus will accommodate approximately 1,300 employees, a sizable increase from the current occupancy of about 440 employees.
"The expansion of our corporate headquarters is needed to help keep pace with our aggressive national expansion program and the rapid growth of our client base," says Richard G. Rawson, Administaff's executive vice president of administration and CFO.
Administaff had moved to its current site in Kingwood in 1991 and completed an expansion of the facility in 1996. The Administaff campus now includes 130,000 sf of office space in two buildings. Munson Kennedy Partnership Architects is designing the new buildings. The Administaff campus is near the intersection of US Highway 59 north and Kingwood Drive.
