Egghead Leasing Former Nordic-Jantzen Swimwear Manufacturing Plant

VANCOUVER, WA-The Internet retailer is 48 hours away from a signed agreement for the 72,000-sf facility, which it will convert into office space for its growing business-to-business sales division. To get around a zoning issue, the site also will be used to house company documents.

VANCOUVER, WA-Egghead.com is 48 hours from a signed lease on an additional 72,000-sf of space here to house its growing business-to-business sales division. The Menlo Park, CA-based Internet retailer is close to a lease agreement for the former Nordic-Jantzen swimwear manufacturing plant at 206 S. Grand Blvd., owned by the Columbian Publishing Co.

Egghead’s veep of operations Norm Hullinger tells GlobeSt.com that the site was selected for is price, location, and wide-open warehouse format. The property sits near Interstate 5 and Highway 14. Hullinger is not yet revealing the lease rate because the deal is not yet finalized.

Egghead sells computer hardware and software, as well as electronics and leisure goods. It hopes to occupy the building by Nov. 1, and be employing as many as 300 people in the facility by early next year. The company currently employs 380 people at its distribution and administration center in the Columbia Business Center at 514 Chkalov Dr.
