The project, which includes retail, office, restaurants and a service station/convenience store on 5.5 acres, was developed by the LichterVenture Group, with Robert Lichter as managing partner.

The center features a 6,000 square foot food court and as flexible floor plans, which can accommodate users needing 500 to 5,000 sf, including three free-standing out-pad buildings.

Marketing of the Island@carlsbad is being handled by Kirk Allison and Vic Gausepohl in the Carlsbad office of Colliers International. Leases in excess of 30,000 sf, valued at more than $6 million, have recently been signed with a variety of retail and small office tenants.

San Diego-based Roel Construction Co. is the general contractor.
