Oracle Corp. Wants Alameda County Land for Campus

DUBLIN, CA-The software company that powers the Internet is eyeing a 12-acre, $45.6-million parcel here for a new office complex, the latest of many high-tech companies making the move to Silicon Valley's eastern edge.

DUBLIN, CA-Oracle Corp. is jumping on the Dublin bandwagon. The Redwood Shores-based infrastructure software maker is showing interest in a 12-acre parcel of land owned by Alameda County.

Oracle has proposed to build an 830,000-sf campus on Dublin Transit Center land valued at $45.6 million. Dublin city sources said they have been in negotiations with Oracle for the last several weeks, and that the campus could add more than 1,000 local jobs. The county’s board of supervisors will discuss the company’s proposal at its Oct. 17 meeting.
