Oracle has proposed to build an 830,000-sf campus on Dublin Transit Center land valued at $45.6 million. Dublin city sources said they have been in negotiations with Oracle for the last several weeks, and that the campus could add more than 1,000 local jobs. The county's board of supervisors will discuss the company's proposal at its Oct. 17 meeting.
On the eastern edge of Silicon Valley at the confluence of Interstates 580 and 680, Dublin is one of the latest hotspots for businesses seeking to leave the inner Valley's traffic congestion and soaring rents. Should Oracle buy the property in East Dublin near Arnold Road, Commerce One and Cisco Systems would be its neighbors.
Other area high-tech campuses in the area include the 34-acre Koll Dublin Corporate Center at Tassajara Road and Dublin Boulevard, as well as the new Sybase campus which broke ground late this summer. The 420,000-sf facility is expected to be done next year.
