ENN, headquartered here, recently installed the network in 17 passenger elevators at 11 West 42nd St., the first of approximately 5,500 planned for buildings around the country. Among those properties are the Rockefeller Center offices, the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. All told, ENN has agreements to put its screens into 5,500 elevators throughout North America. Programming in delivered to the 12.1 inch screens via the Internet.
The system, developed three years ago, has been installed in hundreds of elevators in Canada. The company acquired $30 million to finance its expansion in the US. In addition, to NYC, the company has an office in Chicago and plans to open others in Dallas, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Houston by the end of the year.
