200,000-SF WebMD Deal Down the Drain

ATLANTA-The locally-based firm's announcement last week that it will move its headquarters to the New York/New Jersey area zaps leasing negotiations for a new headquarters.

ATLANTA-The resignation of Jeffrey Arnold, WebMD co-founder and co-CEO, and the locally-based company’s announcement to move its headquarters to New York or New Jersey was a bombshell for Regent Partners. WebMD was negotiating for about 200,000 sf of space for its headquarters in Tower Place 400.

The company would have been an anchor tenant for the 27-story office tower Regent plans to develop as part of a mixed-use development and expansion of the existing Tower Place complex in Buckhead.
