Midsize Internet Company Becomes First to Backfill Gannett Space

ARLINGTON, VA-The Internet company YellowBrix has leased 60,000 sf in Rosslyns Twin Towers, becoming the first major tenant to sign in the building since Gannett and USA Today said they would leave the complex for Tysons Corner.

ARLINGTON, VA-The Internet company YellowBrix has leased 60,000 sf in Rosslyns Twin Towers, becoming the first major tenant to sign in the building since Gannett and USA Today said they would leave the complex for Tysons Corner.The Alexandria-based company will move into three floors in 2002 on the 10-year lease.

The deal signals that the media conglomerate’s 530,000-sf space in the million-sf complex may not be leased to one or two major tenants, as its marketers initially hoped, but could likely fill up with a variety of tenants.Westfield Realty, the buildings’ owner, hopes to lease the space by the second quarter of 2001.
