The terminal, located at South 14th Street and Pacific Avenue, will soon be the site of 95 to 98 parking spaces, according to Mike Hickey, a real estate broker with Neil Walter Co., which is managing the project. The property is owned by Haub Brothers Enterprises Trust, which also owns the Columbia Bank Center, an 186,000 sf, 9-story class "A" office building currently under construction a block away. Hickey says the parking spaces, which are in high demand in Tacoma, will first be offered to tenants at the Columbia Bank Center.
The Greyhound facilities will shift to a newly constructed bus hub it is leasing in the new Tacoma Dome Plaza located at 510 Puyallup Ave. The hub, part of a second phase, $22 million project of Pierce Transit and Sound Transit, includes a six-story, 1200-stall parking garage and a public plaza that will open with a public ceremony at noon this Wednesday.
