The new four-story hotel is owned by McAllen Hospitality Investors, and operated under a license agreement with Hilton Inns Inc., the franchise subsidiary of Beverly Hills-based Hilton Hotels Corp. Castle Hospitality manages the property.
The Hilton Garden is designed to fit into the upper end of the mid-priced hotel category and attract cost-conscious business travelers as well as leisure travelers. More than 200 Hilton Garden Inn properties are expected to open or be under contract in the United States, Canada and Mexico by year's end.
