Correct Craft Buys New Plant Site to Accommodate Boat Sales Growth

ORLANDO-The 76-year-old, privately-held, family-run company is paying $3.3 million for a 137-acre tract at International Corporate Park in south Orlando. The price equates to $24,087 per acre or 55 cents per sf. The firm plans to build a 300,000-sf complex to replace its 125,000-sf plant.

ORLANDO-Bowing to market demand for larger boats, locally-based Correct Craft Inc. is buying a 137-acre tract at International Corporate Park in south Orlando where it will able to manufacture in a planned 300,000-sf plant.

The privately-held, family-run company will relocate in about three years from its original, 10-acre founding site on south Orange Avenue where it has occupied a 125,000-sf plant for the 76 years of its existence.

Correct Craft produces 2,500 boats a year and projects it can increase that volume to about 4,000 at the larger plant. The company manufactures six lines of boats used for wake-boarding and skiing. The firm plans to boost its work force of 100 to 300.
