The new South Bay campus will be located at Homestead Road and Lawrence Expressway. Construction on the first phase, a medical-office building, begins in January, with completion scheduled for 2003.
The project's final phase, the hospital itself, will open in 2006. According to initial plans, it will house 350 beds and 220 doctors. Foster City-based builder Rudolph and Sletten will be in charge of construction.
The new campus is situated next to its 37-year-old predecessor, which will stay open until its replacement is complete.
