The new store reflects the company's strategy of "twinning" the Bang & Olufsen branded locations with Harvey locations. The company has already opened its first Bang & Olufsen location in the Union Square area of lower Manhattan, nearby a Harvey Electronics showroom.
Franklin Karp, president of Harvey commented, "The Greenwich Bang Olufsen branded store had a soft opening on October 12. We rushed to open on October 12 to avoid opening on Friday the 13th! We have been very successful with our Manhattan Bang & Olufsen location, and we expect to replicate that success in Greenwich."
He adds, "The new store is located on Greenwich Avenue - arguably one of the most upscale, heavily trafficked shopping districts in our region. We believe that the highly styled, distinctively European Bang & Olufsen products will find a receptive clientele in Greenwich."
Harvey Electronics currently operates eight locations: six Harvey locations and two Bang & Olufsen showrooms. There are two Harvey locations in Manhattan and four suburban locations in Paramus, N.J.; Mount Kisco, in Westchester; Greenwich, CT; and in Greenvale/Roslyn, on the north shore of Long Island.
