The lease brings the occupancy of the 987,000-sf structure to 98%. Rental rates in the market range from $20 per sf to $23 per sf. Cousins Properties Inc. owns the building, which was built by John Portman's firm.
Nexus networks bring voice and data together, allowing communications carriers to interconnect with multiple bandwidth providers and exchange local and long-distance traffic.
"Atlanta is a strategic market for fiber-optic networks," LayerOne CEO Alexander Muse says in a prepared statement. "It ranks as one of the top five in the country in terms of providers and the amount of fiber in the ground."
