The $70-million, 450,000-square-foot center houses more than 2,200 workersfrom Ford, IBM Corp, Compuware Corp. and other information technologycompanies.The facility is divided into two parts: the Accelerated Solution Center andthe Application Management Center.

The center is unusual in that it brings together two computer competitors,Compuware and IBM, with one goal in mind: to build and maintain theautomotive giant's 1,500 software applications.
