Home sales have been exceptionally strong in city, which has added more than 60,000 new jobs in the last year. For the nine-month period ending Sept. 30, new home sales were up 24 percent over the comparable period of last year, CDS says. A number of land developers have been buying land and creating new residential communities to take advantage of the home buying surge.
