An office tenant, Morehead Associates, will be taking 8,500 sf by the first of the year, when the project is scheduled to be completed.
Harris has spent the last 10 years reviving old buildings in west Charlotte. Company president Ed Harris believes the West Morehead area will become a dynamic commercial area because of its easy access to the Interstate and the center city.
Other Harris projects are the $4-million Cedar Street Design Center and the $1.9-million Carson Corners at Carson Boulevard and South Mint Street.
