RealPrompt, headquartered in the Multimedia Gulch south of Market, is currently beta testing the program and expects roll out to the general public later this year. In a press release, CEO Mo Barzegar stated, "We are currently talking to several other brokerage and investment firms and will be making additional announcements in the coming months."
The three companies who have signed on are members of the Colliers family. Colliers International Partnership specializes in buying, selling and leasing prime office space. Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler focuses on industrial brokerage, corporate services and property management in the Chicago area. Minnesota-based Colliers Towle specializes in appraisal, brokerage and management services.
Lauded by many, including Banc of America Securities for creating the first online system for managing entire transactions, the RealPrompt system is attempting to shorten the time frame it takes to make a deal. Where real estate e-commerce sites have focused on getting buyers and sellers to the table, RealPrompt plans to streamline the entire process, from broker selection and deal negotiation to due diligence and closing.
