SL Green Combines Operations and Development Units

NEW YORK CITY-Roger Kahn moves from Grubb & Ellis to senior VP of management and construction at the REIT.

NEW YORK CITY-Roger Kahn, who had headed the management operations at Grubb & Ellis New York, has been named senior vice president of management and construction of SL Green Realty Corp., based here. He had also worked at the former Edward S. Cordon Co. where he was responsible for overseeing 27 million sf of class A office space.

The firm also announced a restructuring of its operating group that will consolidate its operations and development units. Rick Serrapica, senior VP of operations, is now responsible for all property infrastructure and operations, and Steve Veal, senior VP of development, will head up the construction unit. Both will report to Kahn, who is a member of the board of directors of the Real Estate Board of New York and a director of the Realty Advisory Board.
