Shamrock did $60 million in 1999 total sales of single-family, townhomes, condos and commercial. Breese projects aggregate sales of $134 million in Orange and Lake Counties this year.

Bob Breese, a partner ERA Breese Craft Hensley, says the Shamrock deal was done because Orlando's bedroom communities in Lake County are growing swiftly.

Breese is buying Shamrock's assets but not the firm's building at 100 W. Fifth Ave. in the center of Downtown Mount Dora, about 25 miles west of Downtown Orlando.

Breese also bought the rights to the Shamrock name for three years. The merged firm will be called ERA Breese Craft Hensley, formerly Shamrock Realty.

Keith Shamrock, founder/president of the Lake County firm, is selling the realty end of his portfolio to concentrate on the construction side with his Shamrock Homes Inc. This division has been averaging 100 completions a year since opening in 1990.
