The Mission Bay project is slated to include a five million sf corporate and tech campus, 6,090 residential units, a 500-room hotel, and 700,000 sf of retail space. Additionally, the site will feature a new life-sciences campus for the University of California at San Francisco, along with 49 acres of parks and open spaces. Catellus has to date pre-leased a 270,000-sf office building at the site. Construction is scheduled to begin later this year. At press time, information about the tenant was unavailable. Mission Housing Development began construction yesterday on Orlando Cepeda Place, a 100-unit affordable housing complex adjacent to the newly opened Pacific Bell Park.
