Serving a more limited menu of the restaurant's signature pizza, salads, sandwiches and dessert, the "grab and go" concept for people eating on the run is already established at 24 locations around the country, mostly in airports. With 3,204-sf of floor space, this third storefront location will have seating for 35 people inside and patio seating for 64 people.
Located on the third floor of what used to be called the separate Crystal Court section of the mall, the renamed Crate & Barrel wing is now connected to the main mall via a newly constructed pedestrian bridge.
Officials at CPK and South Coast Plaza would not comment on the financial details of the lease arrangement. If the concept succeeds at this popular shopping venue, more such locations may follow.
