In its "Mid-Year California Hotel Sales Survey," the Costa Mesa, CA-based group said San Mateo County on the Valley's northern edge saw four hotels sold during the period, a 100% increase from the same period last year. San Francisco County was second with an 80% increase, selling nine hotels during the period as opposed to five the year before.
Atlas also said that sales price per room in Northern California were 34.3% higher than their Southern California counterparts. Average sales price per room in Northern California was $69,761 during the period, the group said.
