A & W Realty Inc. with its subsidiary Wynn-Works, Inc. plans to bring retail and residential development to a formerly run-down commercial area. The company will build a $6 million structure on two acres in the Summerhill area near Turner Field south of center city.

The three-story building will include 16,000 sf of retail on the ground floor and 42 condominiums on the two upper floors. The residences will have 1,200 sf to 1,500 sf of living area.

The commercial structures on the site have been razed for the new project. A & W has received support of the Summerhill Neighborhood Development Association, a watchdog in the area's revitalization.
