McClain Finlon had paid $2.9 million for the 44,679-sf building at 2340 Blake St. and then put an upfront $4.5 million into its refurbishment. McClain Finlon had helped to offset the cost by selling its existing 18,000-sf building to a Boulder developer for $2.3 million. The former offices' interior design replete with a designer furniture collection has been featured in the Wall Street Journal's "Workplace" column.
Cathey M. Finlon, chairwoman and CEO, says the unique features of her former building have been improved and expanded for the new building, which houses about 100 employees. The 18-year-old agency has more than doubled its office space in the move.
