The Hayman Co. owns the two buildings, which have a total of 220,000 sf. The company is spending $5 million to add 10,000 sf of office space and renovate the 100,000 sf Northfield building to hold the 8,000 sf Palm Restaurant.
"It took a couple years to convince the owners to locate here," says Alan Hayman, secretary-treasurer of the company.The steak and lobster restaurant, still family owned and operated, originated in New York in 1926, and spread into other areas. There are Palm eateries are located in Los Angeles, Miami and points in between.
