Aetna, which employs 900 people at the high-profile property, has leased space at the class A high-rise since 1996, starting out with 135,000 sf. The Stemmons Place operation is home to Aetna US Healthcare's West Central Region. Its CFO Nate Eudaly says the building's location and Crescent's service have motivated the renewal.
The 634,381-sf structure, owned by Ft. Worth-based Crescent Real Estate Equities Co., is situated close to Dallas' Central Business District and the World Trade Center. Stemmons Place's leasing manager has negotiated the renewal on behalf of the owner while CLW Realty of Tampa, FL, and Swearingen Realty Group of Dallas have acted on the tenant's behalf.
Aetna, a Fortune 500 company, is the nation's leading health and related benefits organization. It has 19.4 million health members, 14.6 million dental members and 11.5 million group insurance members.
