Adding an additional 265,000-sf facility to its existing 250,000-sf distribution center will more than double the size of the present center. The company is transferring over 100 headquarter employees from Concord, NC.
The company is keeping its headquarters and distribution center in Kannapolis because of the cooperation it is receiving from city and county officials, according to Kirk Krull, Shoe Show vice president of real estate and development.
Shoe Show's growth is attributed to its acquisition of 80 Pic N' Pay stores in the Southeast earlier this year. The company operates 700 stores in 29 states under the Shoe Show, Burlington Shoe and The Shoe Depot brands.
