Cushman & Wakefield Acquires Retail Real Estate Services Firm

NEW YORK CITY-Retail Development Partners, a seven-member real estate company, has been acquired by Cushman & Wakefield, the giant real estate services firm. RDP, led by Gene P. Spiegelman, leases urban and shopping center space across the country for upscale retailers such as Armani AX, Brioni, Christolfe, Club Monaco, Crate & Barrel and Sergio Tacchini.

Its major client is Millennium Partners, a developer of urban mixed-use buildings including luxury hotels, condos, entertainment venues, fitness facilities and retail outlets.

Noting that the acquisition was executed in thirty days, Bruce Mosler, C&W president, says, “we have recognized Gene and his team as major players in Manhattan retail real estate and I know they will continue to grow their global business at C&W…” He also announced that his firm would be buying retail real estate firms around the country during the next year.
