Dell to Lease 75,000 SF in Alliance Gateway Park

FT. WORTH-Hillwood Properties doesn't know what to make of this week--three deals in three days. Yesterday's big news is Dell Computer is leasing a 75,000-sf structure while this morning Bell Helicopter Inc. will take center stage in AllianceTexas.

FT. WORTH-It’s been a week to remember, with three power-packed deals in three days making headlines for Hillwood Properties’ AllianceTexas. This morning, Bell Helicopter/Bell Augusta Aerospace will break ground on a major aviation training center on 15 acres bought last year near the Ft. Worth Alliance Airport. The ground-breaking falls one day after Dell Computer Corp.’s announcement to lease a 75,000-sf building that is under construction in Alliance Gateway Park. The week started with Hillwood Residential breaking ground on the first phase of a 2,700-home residential project for the 2,3000-acre Heritage development. “It’s been a pretty exciting week,” Mike Berry, Hillwood Properties’ president, tells GlobeSt.com.

Tuesday, Dell had announced plans to open a sales and technology support center in the Alliance Gateway Business Park. The building, which will deliver in March 2001, is situated on 6.6 acres, flanked on its southern border by a vacant 10.5-acre parcel and just east of another 35 acres of raw land. “Should they need expansion, they can,” says Berry. The property is bordered on the north by the Ryder National Command Center.

It is the building, Berry says, more so than the land availability right now that has lured Dell to the AllianceTexas fold. “We had a building ready to construct that met their schedule,” he says of the deal that had closed in just a few months.
