Located at Lawrence Expressway and Homestead Road, the new Santa Clara Medical Center will be adjacent to Kaiser's existing 28-acre campus. That campus will remain open until the new one is complete.
The first phase of the project, a medical office building, is slated to break ground in early 2001 and open in 2003. Hospital facilities should open in 2006. Kaiser is also planning new facilities in Redwood City and Vallejo.
