Longtime Oakland Developer Could Re-Emerge at Jack London Square

OAKLAND, CA-The Port was previously in exclusive negotiations a partnership between LCOR and WDG, but the two sides were unable to agree on a deal, and now Hal Ellis is re-emerging as a prospect for the $200 million development project.

OAKLAND, CA-The Port of Oakland is entertaining multiple suitors intending to develop the latest project at Jack London Square. The proposed $200 million development should get the green light by the end of the year, when the port’s real estate committee expects to make its decision.

The Port was previously in exclusive negotiations a partnership between LCOR and WDG, who developed the Sony Metreon complex in San Francisco. In May, the LCOR partnership was chosen over longtime Oakland developer Hal Ellis. The two sides were unable to agree to a deal, however, and now Ellis has re-emerged as a prospect for the development project.
