David McCaslin, president of MeriStar, could be not be reached for comment by press time but he is quoted in a released statement as saying, "We expect to generate numerous synergies in purchasing and in cross-marketing with other properties we manage in the region. Located in the heart of Boston's tech corridor, the hotel also presents synergistic opportunities with our properties in other high tech-oriented markets."
The hotel provides 12,000 sf of function space, a restaurant, outdoor function area and casual bar. Other facilities include a health center, an indoor swimming pool, a tennis court and lighted jogging path.
The privately-held full-service hotel is located in Boston's technology corridor 20 minutes from downtown Boston and 25 minutes from Logan International Airport. The Hilton Hotel is part of a mixed-use development, which contains the hotel and 250,000 square feet of office space in two buildings.
MeriStar Hotels & Resorts operates 233 hospitality and leisure properties in over 34 states. Through its Doral Vacation Ownership division, MeriStar develops and operates timeshare resorts and condominiums.
