Although still in final negotiations, Sears recently gave LA-based Zelman Development Co. approval for the project. The Great Indoors, an all inclusive home-decorating and home-improvement store, will occupy 142,000 sf in the complex. The store will anchor the 900,000-sf retail section of the complex, which is nearly 100% leased, according to Brett Foy, vice president of Zelman. Tenants include Best Buy, Marshalls, Staples, Payless Shoes and Target.

The complex, which is under construction on a site near the Burbank Airport, will also include an estimated 600-000 sf of office space and two hotels: Extended Stay America and Marriot's Courtyard. Aerospace giant Lockheed Martin previously occupied the site.
