De Leon has outgrown its old space at 9807 Harwin. Alexander Reilly, Westwood's representative from Boyd Page/ChainLinks, tells GlobeSt.com that De Leon had been attracted to the new lease for a couple of reasons:
First, he says, it wanted to move out of its old location in Harwin's "discount row" to a more professional, business-park space with good accessibility to Beltway 8. Second, De Leon had been able to secure a lease based on 1997 rates because Westwood had signed a five-year lease three years ago.
Westwood, which sells discount furniture, no longer needs the space on Westline because it is downsizing and moving warehousing operations to its retail site at 10105 Bissonnet. SIA Realty has represented De Leon Collections in the lease agreement.
