Kim Pearman-Gillman, senior vice president for Avista Development, says that like Steam Plant Square, Courtyard Office Suites will feature small, flexible office space that will be targeted to start-up dot.com companies, as well as graphic artists, attorneys and anyone else looking for a small, affordable office space that features the latest in high-tech wiring.

"Small companies want to start out small but they want this big address and a fancy environment," says Pearman-Gillman. "This gives them the small space they need to get started, and enables them to share things like conference rooms and reception areas. It also provides them with unlimited bandwidth."

Renovation on the building, located in Spokane's downtown Davenport art district, is underway, with completion expected next fall. Pearman-Gillman says lease rates are expected to range from $15 to $20 per sf, with additional costs associated for high-tech wiring to be distributed among the tenants.
