The store will be located at 7499 Dublin Blvd., on an approximately 5-acre parcel that once housed Shamrock Ford. Officials at Safeway and AutoNation, which owns the dealership, confirmed the deal this week but did not specify dollar figures.

The property is currently in escrow, and Safeway officials said the next step is to demolish the former Shamrock Ford building. Dublin's grocery stores include Ralphs and Pak-'n Save, which is also owned by Safeway.

Shamrock Ford recently moved most of its operations into quarters at 4600 Dublin Blvd.
