The facility, which will be located at 300 5th Ave.N.W., will consist of a 21,788 sf, two-storyoffice area and a 44,750 sf warehouse. Thereis also space for the repair department and room forfuture expansion.The building, which will be constructed out of exposedaggregate pre-cast panels, is expected to be ready inApril. Dalco's 80 employees now work out of a buildingat 3010 Broadway St. N.E. in Minneapolis.
Kent Carlson, vice president of industrial developmentat Minneapolis-based Ryan Cos., thinks the projectwill help build the industrial economy for the NewBrighton area, and will serve as a good, accessiblelocation for Dalco."This new building will allow us to offerefficiencies to our customers and provide an enhancedwork environment for our employees," says Ted StarkJr., Dalco's chief executive officer.
Dalco has customers in Minnesota, parts of Wisconsin,northern Iowa, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.The company has a total of 135 employees, includingthose in branch facilities in Duluth and Rochester,MN, and LaCrosse, WI.
