Foundation Funds Stanford, Redwood City School District Construction

PALO ALTO, CA-Two foundations sponsored by the Packard family will help fund two separate Silicon Valley projects: a new medical center at Stanford University, and five day-care centers for the Redwood City School District.

PALO ALTO, CA-Grants announced this week from two Packard family foundations will fund a new medical center at Stanford University and five child day-care centers for students in the Redwood City School District.

Through the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health, an anonymous donor has provided $31.8 million for Stanford University’s planned Vera Moulton Wall Center for Pulmonary Disease. Square footage and final cost estimates for the building, which will serve adults and children with pulmonary vascular disease, have not yet been announced.
