Mutual fund companies Janus Capital Corp. and the Invesco Funds Group say they aren't pursuing paying for the naming rights. Neither is AT&T Broadband, which had gone as far as registering the name AT&T Broadband Stadium to protect its right to use the name.

The latest development has come in the wake of Mayor Wellington Webb's severe criticism of a proposal to rename the stadium. Webb says he has not only received overwhelming support for his stance locally, but also says people from all across the country have backed him up.
