KANSAS CITY, MO-A grand opening celebrating the new façade at One Main Plaza is taking place this week just north of the Country Club Plaza. Gone from the front of the 11-story office building at 4435 Main are the building’s trademark fountains. Instead, a more open front has been designed and the fountains, which sprayed passersby on wind days, have been removed.

Cost for the renovation was about $900,000. Matthew Spachman, withTrammell Crow Co., manages the property. The building is about 80% occupied. Cohen-Esrey Real Estate is moving from an entire floorbefore the end of the year.
