The project adds office space to an area in hot demand as space-seeking tenants continue to expand outside of the Valley's inner core. Snyder Langston and Pacific Bay Homes LLC are developing the building. CB Richard Ellis' Foster City office has the listing. Construction is expected to begin later this year, but a firm start date has not yet been announced. "Given its ... location and its strong design, the Pacific Bay Building will attract a first-rate tenant," Pacific Bay Homes senior vice president Scott Goldie said when announcing the project's approval. No potential tenants have yet been specified.
San Jose-based architecture firm the Hagman Group designed the building, which will feature a prominent balcony and landscaping consistent with its shoreline surroundings. In a nod to potential environmental concerns surrounding the project, the developers say they will contribute an unspecified amount of money for the acquisition and restoration of 1.2 acres of local wetlands.
